So, as much as my mom annoys me with her snide little comments, and mocking most of what we're watching, sometimes she really cracks me up.  I'm watching Advent Children, and mama waltzes in for the last half of it.  Upon seeing Cloud, she refuses to believe that he is a man.  Swears up and down that Cloud has to be a woman, because he's too pretty and is perfectly clean shaven.  Of course, she has no problem believing Cid and Barret are male.  Hell, she even believes that Vincent is a man (even before he spoke), but nope... there's no way.  Cloud has to be a woman.  After a while, I'm pretty sure she's just being a troll, but it's still amus

So, I was testing out the PS3s ability to play PS1 games, but still wasn't able to save.  There was a cluster of compadres around the den, watching me play FF7 and was throwing out names for the characters.  One of them suggested I name Cloud, "Sexy Bitch".  Unfortunately, this wouldn't fit.  The compromise was to name Cloud "Sexy" and pass "Bitch" down to Barret.  Because this is the trail of logic our brains follow.  This turned out to be a brilliant decision.  I had forgotten that for a good chunk of the beginning Cloud is hounding Barret to give him his pay.  So, this led to many many scenes with Cloud saying, "Where's my money, Bitch?"  

(That's right, goin all Seinfeld on ya'll.) Alright, this is gonna seem out of the blue, but can someone explain , or demonstrate or whatever, the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit sprites.  I thought I knew, but some things that I thought we're 8 are apparently 16 and I can't find a straight answer.  I get 4 and 32, but those others elooooode me.
